In 1986 Mr. Wilking received a BS degree from the College of New Jersey. He studied further at the New School University, NYC (2000) and at
the Pratt Institute, NYC (2001). Albert resides in New York City and Trenton, NJ, with his wife and son.
"Albert Wilking's focus goes beyond a
particular style or technique, beyond customary or 'safe'
imagery to explosions of textural color, three-dimensional
sculpture-like forms using various substances, and to the use
of words as brush strokes. His inspiration comes from personal
experiences, dreams, and a combination of visual, physical and
spiritual insights which he incorporates into his work. 'I love being connected
to the divine wondrous process called creativity. I think it shows in my art.' "
